Reading begins in solitude, but books rarely stay there. A sentence follows us into conversation. A character becomes a question we ask a friend. A story gives a room of strangers a language for something they have all felt but never named.

Across African literary communities, gathering around books has always been more than a social ritual. It is a way of keeping stories in motion. Readers compare interpretations, challenge assumptions and lead one another toward writers they might never have found alone.

This is why a weekly conversation matters. It creates rhythm. It makes discovery communal rather than accidental, and it gives readers permission to arrive with unfinished thoughts. The best literary rooms do not demand expertise; they reward curiosity.

Book Cast Ng exists to make more of those rooms — online, in person and wherever readers are willing to listen closely to one another.
